- "I have not really captained a team since my first year of high school when I was captain of Monkton House School's U12s rugby team. This was at a time when I was a young sprite and before I found alcohol, put on weight and became lazy! Captaining the GBH is an underestimated challenge and it was a huge honour for me to be elected. Hopefully this will be repeated in some form now that I am part of the Welsh U40s toenail clipping team."
- 2001 - 2002: Bruce
- "Bloody good captain, slight lack of interest on the golf course but pushed the boys hard in the bar, failed to make tour in his year of duty as a bit of a useless twat having broken my hand punching a nightclub door?!!!"
- 2000 - 2001: JM
- "Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better."
